Silmog Garden Manali

If you are looking for friendly and comfortable stay in the heart of Manali in India, then look no further, just stay at Silmon Gardens.

We stayed at this wonderful place during our travels to Manali. We were really amazed to see the kind of hospitality offered by the staff.  The special care taken by them even for the smallest of needs of visitors was really impressive, that’s why we are dedicating our first hotel review to this hotel.

The Staff

You will rarely find such courteous and helpful staff at Indian Hotels. Not that, the staff at other hotels are rude but, owners at Silmog Garden go one step ahead to help their visitors, making it obvious that “They Care”.

For example, just after we checked-in at the place in afternoon, there was a city power cut. Though, most of the guests have gone out for trips, the owners operated power generator for the sake of our room.

Other Extra/ services provided by the Hotel are free umbrellas, Gum boots for use during rainy days. Also, they provide complimentary Internet and pick and drop services. You will surely observe their thoughtfulness behind little extra things they have added here and there, to make the stay comfortable.

The Room & the Restaurant

The Rooms are very spacious with appealing wooden interior decoration. You will find the rooms as good as shown on their website. Also, the bathroom are large (almost half the size of rooms) equipped with bathtub as well as showers. Even, the interiors of bathroom are soothing.

The dining rooms have scenic view of valleys and mountains of green and snowscaped Himalayas around. Further, there are separate dining rooms for vegetarian and Non-vegetarian meals. 

The Location

This Hotel is located in the middle of the town at walking distance from Mall road. We could go to Hidimba Temple and explore local markets on our own (without hiring any taxis).

The Taxis and Tours

During our stay, the hotel staff rendered good advice about Taxis and Tours to us.  We booked Taxis to Rohtang Pass, Kullu and Manikaran through them. Later, we did a local market survey in the evening and found that the costs of tours and taxis offered by them were indeed best in town. We liked the fact, that they do not try to extract more money from the guests through selling expensive affiliate tours. We booked Ice Sking, River rafting and para gliding through the references of Silmog Gardens/ their taxi-drivers.  These tour operators were friendly , fairly priced and even allowed us a bit of bargaining pleasure. 

The Verdict

We look forward to stay at this Hotel again during our stay at Manali and would strongly recommend you the same. Our story is same as fellow travelers to this lovely hotel, because we found the reception filled with wooden decors/ mementos gifted by satisfied customers and visitors to express thanks for their great stay.
